Surajkund Craft Mela is an annual fixture in New Delhi circles that gets people rushing in even from downtown. The event is to take place daily from February 1 to 15, from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm and will take off with traditional fanfare at Surajkund. The focus is on celebrating India’s vibrant culture.

The 22th annual fair will be highlighting the State of Madhya Pradesh that will take center stage. Focused on Madhya Pradesh as the theme State, alongside India’s 27 States will be participating here. Interestingly this year some international participation is on board including Egypt, Thailand and Brazil.

This festival replete with cultural performances, exhibition, sale of crafts, large food court from India and Egypt will be offering special package deals for families. Set amidst the backdrop of rural India the fair displays simple rustic charms that tantalize tourists and locals alike.

This colourful event attracts visitors who wait for it each year. On display will be the finest handlooms and handicrafts of the country. Besides shopping you can witness beautiful, colourful folk dances and also savour delicacies of various states of India. Its going to be a potpourri of crafts, culture and cuisine.
